The inspiration for this painting is the frenzied feeding time of the Koi Carp, their bodies twisting and turning as they writhe over one another in their desperation to get food. Their brightly coloured, shiny bodies break the surface of the water as they continue to struggle. I am drawn to the spectacle and the colour. I enjoyed painting these fish and I hope I have captured the moment. This painting would lift a room with it's bright colours and surface pattern.
