Some body once said a piece of art is a part of Artist’s life, I totally agree with it.
This is a very calming scene that I see often, sometimes I woke up, started all the daily routines and walked pass by the room seeing my Cat Cadbury still in bed soundly asleep. Like time frozen in peace. Her tiny, smooth breathing sound in rhythm is like the best mediation music that can calm anyone down in a second.


I have the same affirmation from my previous small artwork series – Family by Choice for this particular piece. We adopted Cadbury from RSPCA many years ago, she was so skinny and tiny back then. We shower her love every day, over the time she has become the anchor of my life, Cadbury is my family by choice with no doubt.
By the time while I finished this piece, Cadbury is recovering from a surgery.
I am willing to do anything I could to protect her, to make sure she is safe and healthy, so that she can sleep safe and sound like this artwork without worrying anything.

It Is also a reminding to us that everything has a purpose. <br> As many of you may know I don’t paint birds very often, but when I do it’s normally a self-projection. <br> After months of lock down in Victoria, I felt the ocean was calling me so I took a day trip to Phillip Island. During the lunch I set down on a quiet beach and spotted this beautiful friend standing beside me. The weather was nice and the sky was blue. This little fella accompanied me for quite some time and I really enjoyed the serenity by the sea with my new little friend. I captured the Seagull with my eyes and camera, somehow, I saw determination and unwavering courage in its eyes, it’s comforting in a way that I cannot describe. I then worked in my studio for this piece after the trip, sending days capturing this beautiful bird with my paint brushes and canvas, and finally have it completed. This is a very calming scene that I see often in a particular spot by the window that I do my daily meditation at home, sitting on an old chair with nostalgic pattern on it that my lovely neighbour left me. The yuletide camellia bloom beautifully in the winter on my front yard. <br> My cat Cadbury sometime sit by the window, by my side, and look at me with her lovable, big round eyes while I do my daily meditation. It's quiet, like time froze at that magical moment.
