Travel inspires my artwork. I was blessed to live in a remote village and enjoyed meeting the locals, sitting and chatting, sketching and painting. We trekked in and out of the village - a distant location not connected by any roads. There were numerous river crossings; some shallow enough to wade through but for this crossing we required the assistance of a punt, propelled by this chap and his pole.
