Acrylic on paper
Signed on the front.
This expressive and colourful painting depicts the rocky hillsides found in the gorges of Arkaroola. Arkaroola is a wildlife sanctuary in the north of the Flinders Ranges, South Australia. This is one of a series painted there at a week-long art workshop. This painting started on site in Arkaroola and finished back at home.
The painting will look beautiful behind a matt border as shown in the in situ photos, although you could also explore other options with a framer if you prefer to frame it without glass protection. I have previously had a framer mount one of these paintings on paper on board and frame without glass. See for example "In the creek bed of Nooldoonooldoona". I have also mounted one to canvas. See In the Shelter of the Trees. Please get in touch if interested in these options.
