Artwork Description

Mixed Media on paper, ready to hang.

Signed on the back.

This artwork comes with an external frame

Following a hiking trip through Tasmania's wilderness, around Cradle Mountain, I had so many beautiful experiences I wanted to reflect in art. This is one that incorporates both watercolour and soft pastels, with the striking yellows of the wildflowers in the foreground contrasted against the hazy distant mountains. It has been professionally framed, with a neutral coloured matt border setting off the painting beautifully.

Trees in lights greens and blue, a view through a forest, showing water and a headland. A loose, expressive painting of trees in the Australian landscape, largely in pinks and purples, with some earth coloured pigments and textures to ground the scene. Landscape of green grasses, a light coloured laneway leading back to dark trees under a pink cloudy sky An abstracted view of a landscape, looking down from a rock ledge to a creek, with vegetation around, and lily pads suggested across the painting.

All art by Jennifer Baxter

An abstracted painting of the head and body of a bird, in whites and browns, with a scribbly background of different colours. A dark red painting showing an outback landscape with marks and an area of gold suggested an area of sunlit land.An abstracted hillside in oranges and golds with hints of pale and dark blue. Tree shapes on the right are made by overlapping vertical lines in dark blues and dark browns. The same colours are used in horizontal lines to make branches in the top half. Bright orange patches are within these lines. On the left are patches of blue, for the sky.
