This is a portrait of a juvenile Bald Eagle.
The Bald Eagle does not develop its distinctive white head until 4-5 years of age. In the wild they live up to 25 years. Typically only 1 in 8 eagles live to reach maturity
Displayed in a simple white timber frame with white matting as pictured. Overall measurements 32cm wide and 45cm wide, 3cm deep.

With a lifelong fascination with the natural world, Jessica uses her art to further educate herself about the world’s flora and fauna, and the deep connection between all living things. Each of her subjects are studied and researched closely before commencing a painting.
Through her art, Jessica hopes to share some of her knowledge and respect of wildlife, drawing special attention to the rare and unique ecology surrounding her home in the Hunter Valley.
