Little Amber Vase
My farm abuts the Wombat State Forest. Down the paddock is a little track where I found an old settlers cottage. This cabin is so old it's nothing more than a frame covered in climbing vines. Lyonville used to be a logging town with the old railway still said to be buried in the forest. Workers used to construct modest settler cottages close to the old Mill.
This little Amber Vase was found in an old fire pit. It most likely held a tincture as my local pharmacist explained. Now, almost 100 years later this little amber vase sits on my desk. It's only small but the gravity of the memories it holds are large.
This was painted with thick, buttery oil paint. It brings me joy to look at this painting. Right now the plum trees are adorned with blossoms, one of which sits in my little amber vase.
Please Note: This oil painting is still wet and requires 2 weeks before it is able to be shipped. When purchased I will keep you up to date with the drying process and get it out as soon as it's ready.
This work is ready to hang but custom framing can be organged for an additional fee.
