Artwork Description

Oil on wood, ready to hang.

Signed on the back.

The title of this painting Boy Senza Pearl and means Boy Without Pearl. It is a play on Johannes Vermeer's 1665's painting called Girl with a Pearl Earring. While the subject of the original painting is unknown, the sitter of this painting is my son. He is not wearing an earring.
The pattern has been created using handmade rubber stamps. The use of pattern is inspired by the artist Gustav Klimt. This painting, although unframed, has exposed timber sides and is ready to hang.
