This is a portrait is based on my son who is growing up fast. The foreground has been created homemade stamps, which it gives the painting a playful feel. The use of pattern is inspired by the artist Gustav Klimt. The soft pink and rich orange give the portrait a warm summer glow. Although unframed, it has exposed timber sides.
