Artwork Description

Oil on wood

Signed on the back.

This is a portrait of a boy wearing a paper crown. It is based on my son who is growing up fast. The background has been created homemade stamps, which feature the king and queen of hearts from a deck of playing cards. The background has a silver finish. The use of pattern is inspired by the artist Gustav Klimt. Although unframed, it has exposed timber sides and is ready to hang.
