Cockatoos are regular visitors in my neck of the woods. These curious creatures have a habit of making themselves known with their screeching calls and constant chatter. This painting was inspired by the seasonal flowering of wattles which light up the Samford Valley with vibrant yellow colours. I have incorporated these gorgeous blooms into the painting with a friendly cockatoo bird from the backyard, adding some cheeky personality.
