My exhibition sought to capture through both painting and mixed media, the verve of everyday women who have a wildness in their heart and a rhytmic vivacity expressed through the culturally global medium of tribal style dance known as "belly dancing".

The dancers portrayed in these artworks unveil hidden truths that are not revealed in their day to day lives, with tribal dance affording a glorious avenue of self-expression and spirited exuberance. The Wild Woman becomes her true self within the dance.

I have used archival quality acrylic paints and mediums to create the movement of colour in the backgrounds and highlighted key areas of the printed image.
