Up a Hopeful Path forms part of my series of abstracted landscapes of country Victoria, in this instance the outskirts of Castlemaine.
These landscapes are of my favourite places where I am totally in my comfort zone. They offer an escape from reality and a space to breathe. A time to reflect, to listen to the sounds of nature - the quiet snap of a dead twig in the long grass and the squawk of birds in the distance.
I paint from memory creating my own images as I reflect inwardly on past experiences of a time and a place. Lingering memories of beautiful days are what compel me to translate this peaceful energy onto canvas. I hope the viewer can find the same joy in this as I do.
This painting comes with a white wood frame.
