This vibrant colourful abstract small artwork is one of my signature "Banksia Imaginata" paintings. You may have heard of Banksia Marginata which is an actual species of banksia. My banksia versions are very much imagined and abstracted in most cases. I love to use unusual colours to highlight the amazing and unique forms and structure of this Australian native plant. Sometimes reflecting the seed pods, sometimes the blooming flower spikes, my banksia artworks are a continuing exploration of their incredible geometry and symmetry.

The artwork has been painted on a high quality linen covered plywood panel and is inside a raw timber frame with wire across the back ready to hang. There is no glass in the frame. The painting has my small logotype painted on the front bottom right hand corner and is also signed and dated on the back.
