"Aloha Greetings" is purely painted from my imagination. In Hawaiian culture, Aloha has a deeper meaning of love and affection, of peace and compassion... which is something we all need, especially in the world today. The background is painted with differing tones of Pthalo Turquoise mixed with White. What looks like anything your imagination can conjure up, from blooms, to creatures in the deep sea to cherry red and vanille icecream cones, was painted with the same thick flat brush using varying amounts of red, white, and violet which were pressed onto the board, mixing the paints at the same time, leaving textured work. The quirky lines were made using syringe filled with various colours, also leaving some texture. A tactile artwork.
Original painting created in October 2020. Signed on the front. Ready to hang.
Finished with Satin Spray Varnish for protection.
