"Berrima Cottages in the Southern Highlands" is a glimpse into daily life in backyards, like clothes hanging to dry, away from the tourist areas. Only came across this scene on my last visit to Berrima, and had decided to wander away from the main street. Berrima is such a quaint village, normally with many tourists out and about along the main street where the cafes and shops are. We'd decided to go for a drive, just to get some lovely fresh air and see new sights instead of being cooped up at home, albeit I do love to hang in my studio space creating something. Anyway, we turned into one of the side streets in Berrima which was a tad higher than the main street and looking down, there was this picturesque scene of these old cottages, with their colourful rusty rooftops, their long fences and the Australian bush as a backdrop.
