Artwork Description

Yupo synthetic paper

Signed on the front.

Frame not included

"Blue Mountains Landscape: Breenhold Gardens Stairway to the Light" is just another scene from these beautiful gardens high up in the Blue Mountains National Park in Mount Wilson. I came across this scene last month as we were wandering along Charlotte's Pass. It was fascinating to see the play between light and shadows. I saw this as another challenge working with Yupo paper, a lovely very smooth synthetic paper, which makes it very hard to control the watercolours as they don't sink in but sit on top. The bonus is that being so smooth the colours seem to have a sheen.
Original painting created in June 2021. Signed on the front. Requires mat and frame for protection.
Artist quality Daniel Smith watercolours on synthetic Yupo paper.
Styled scene, hanging and in situ setting with or without white mat and black frame is for display purposes and is not to scale. Just to give you an idea of how this artwork may look on your wall.
Signed Certificate of Authenticity is included.
This item will be safely shipped, sandwiched between two sheets of foamboard to avoid damage.
Please note: Yupo paper needs to be handled carefully as much like a photo, it'll show up smudge marks easily.
