Artwork Description

Acrylic on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.

Signed on the front.

This small painting is the latest in my beloved Blue Mountains series. Meet "Blue Mountains Panorama: Autumn Sunrise over the Jamison Valley at Echo Point". I enjoyed creating this little one immensely. I just love how the valley in the distance is just barely there and how the Threes Sisters are in shadow, with the majestic Mount Solitary glowing in the early morning light. No matter what time of day one visits this glorious lookout, the views themselves don't change, but the atmosphere does. We undertook an early morning drive to reach this spot and voila, we came just in time to see how the valley was bathed in misty soft sunlight. One never tires of visiting this World Heritage Listed region with it's stunning views, rugged landscape, and sheer cliff faces surrounding the Jamison Valley with the majestic Mount Solitary as well as the iconic Three Sisters rocky cliff formation. As this is a smaller size, it would suit space just above a desk or sideboard or even display on a small easel. For lovers of all things Nature and the Blue Mountains.

when visiting the amazing Blue Mountains National Park in late Spring and taking a walk / hike through the Australian bush one quite often comes across the Waratah shrub in full bloom, quite a standout with it's deep magenta / red blooms and teal blue / green leaves against a contrasting backdrop of varying tones of greens and browns a sunny spring morning in South Albury along the bank of the Murray River under the cover of three eucalyptus gum trees giving lots of shade in stark contrast to the sunlit areas on the other side and their soft reflections in the slow moving waters.a cluster of flowering pink gumnuts amidst an array of green leaves beautifully presented in a simple black frame with white double matset within the Greater Blue Mountains National Park, surrounded by typical aussie bushland with native gum trees and shrubs is this majestic looking architectural wonder the iconic Jenolan Caves House with it's many faceted edwardian architeture, chimneys and red roofs
