In this painting I was inspired by the light interacting with the sea turtle and the interesting visual characteristics of the full-bodied kingfish that I recently photographed on my trip to Queensland. I loved sketching them from all the various angles in an impressionist technique. I couldn't resist adding the blue blubber jelly to this tropical underwater scene.
