Chaenomeles japonica or Japanese quince is a favourite of mine for flower arrangements. It blooms in winter before leaf budding, so the long flower-covered stems are ideal for striking arrangements. As with my other floral art, I have maintained a stylish approach. I love the soft peach colour of the flowers against the muted background. This painting is ideal for a bedroom and being a diptych is large enough to make a statement and add interest to the room.
