"Cows in the Canola" was inspired by journeys in the south west of Western Australia where, at the right time of year, there were gorgeous yellow fields of flowering canola. I loved seeing the cows who had escaped into the canola paddock next door on one particular journey. This was the inspiration for this piece with a few cows happily munching away, with the stunning yellow fields and green hills beyond.

The artist often takes inspiration from different homes, architecture and landscapes that take the viewer on a journey and bring feelings of warmth and contentment.

This piece was painted by the artist with professional watercolour paints on Arches cold pressed 300 gsm watercolour paper. The artist only uses light-fast supplies of the highest standard to ensure the piece retains its vibrancy and quality.
