"Summer's End" is an original egg tempera painting on 300 gsm watercolour paper. Tucked away in this moody landscape is an old australian cottage. The scene is moody and dark but with impending grey clouds looking like a storm is coming and the mauve iron roof sings in the shadows. This is a timeless piece painted in a medium from the fifteenth century. Tiny brushstrokes make up layers that are carefully cross-hatched to blend deep rich autumnal colours.

The artist often takes inspiration from different homes, architecture and landscapes that take the viewer on a journey and bring feelings of warmth and contentment.

This piece was painted by the artist using a traditional painting medium called egg tempera which was around hundreds of years ago. It was painted with small brushstrokes on Arches cold pressed 300 gsm watercolour paper. The artist only uses light-fast supplies of the highest standard to ensure the piece retains its vibrancy and quality.
