This is me indulging my love of flowers and retro pottery. The Botanicals in this painting are stylised hybrids of a protea and jade plant that features quite a bit in my work lately. I really enjoy the freedom of recreating plants found on my daily walks and painted from memory, a bit like the way children paint. The limited blue and teal palette of this piece is really soothing and would look cracking hanging over your teak timber mid century furniture.
