This huge flamboyant painting on paper in sublime teal, green and peacock blue hues would make an amazing statement on your feature wall. It is intended to bring a sense of joy to the viewer, and a reminder that life needn't be too serious.
Purists and bird enthusiasts/ornithologists please look away, I meant to paint these Major Mitchell-esque friends in their correct salmon pink colour but my colour addiction got the better of me and I started mixing up peacock blues and before you know it here we are with a large work featuring my favourite colours. And why the heck not I say, isn't that what artistic license is all about? Fortunately for me, unlike a driving license I can't lose points or have it cancelled for recklessness.
No disrespect to John Gould, whom I admire greatly and who inspires my work, but sometimes birds just wanna have fun.
