I had no real plan for this work, taking a hint I got from some minimalist paintings I've seen that had separate bands of tone or colour. It went in that direction to begin and evolved into what is essentially an abstract emotional landscape painting. A strata of things buried in the earth, buried in the past, beneath the layers we pile on top.

This painting is on a stretched canvas the edges of the canvas are painted black and a hanging wire is attached to the back so it is ready to hang on your wall with or without a frame.
