My Melbourne map turned the Yarra into a flyaway tendril, so why not turn the Brisbane River into a flyaway bonnet string? Not the epitome of Brisbane fashion, I know, but it fit the contours of this 1960s map. All the vintage maps I use have had a long and useful previous life and show signs of that, wrinkles and all. Map edges turned around the sides. Lightly sprayed with varnish for protection.
