I often like to paint a scene several times, a scene that means something to me. You learn as you go and no painting is like another. Most of my paintings are from my memories of travelling the Australian Outback for 30 years as an Outback tour guide. Entrance into different Cattle Stations always seems to vary, A heavily used road or perhaps where the cattle trucks enter always seem to have a well-graded road and a light clay base top mixed in. The gate you see was so old and rustic, it really led nowhere as of today but you follow an old worn path and you find some ruins, well just an old fireplace that was part of a humpy used by our early pioneers, love it! Anyhow I enjoyed painting the scene hope you like it..
