The saying: ”it’s a matter of perspective” refers to our tendency to view and filter the world through our own belief systems, personal history and motivations. One person’s perspective will be different to another’s. In a literal sense the same thing could be said of these works - the form of the sculpture changes dramatically depending on the angle you’re viewing it. Each sculpture is comprised of multiple 2 dimensional paintings on clear Perspex/acrylic sheet that are layered to give the illusion of a solid, floating 3 dimension object.
