This painting was inspired by a very special place Mogareeka where the river meets the sea. It is within 5 kms of my studio and during lockdown became a place of quiet contemplation. It is on Yuin country and once was a very important place for Aboriginal people who feasted on plentiful supplies of abalone, fish and oysters. It is an extremely beautiful place and a landscape which continues to inspire with its beauty and story of generations of habitation
