Artwork Description

Signed on the front.

ON SALE!! Reduced to $400 (normally $600)!!

Featured in the artist's recent debut solo exhibition, 'Creatures of the Deep' at the Salamanca Arts Centre, Hobart, Tasmania. Painted with the artist's unique combination of finger- and brush-painting.

Reef Manta Ray facts:

Scienific name: Manta alfredi.

Inhabits the ‘Sunlight Zone’ (found in surface water around coral reefs).

Did you know? Unlike many fish species, mantas give birth to live young! After a 12-13 month gestation period every second year, mother mantas give birth to just one or two pups, which come out rolled up like burritos!

The painting is acrylic on stretched canvas, and is sealed with two coats of gloss varnish. It is wired and ready to hang. The gallery-wrapped edges of the canvas are painted, so there is no need for framing.
