The composition is divided into three distinct sections. The first, located in the top right, depicts the conscious individual against a striped background, symbolizing the environment with its daily distractions. Here, the senses, smell, sight, and hearing, are engaged.
The second section, set against an all-white background, represents the creative process at a subconscious level. In this space, we begin to explore our inner world. The senses are no longer needed; the eyes are covered, the mouth is silent, and thoughts start to flow freely.
The third section spans the entire left and lower parts of the composition, symbolizing the platonic world of ideas. In this realm, disordered thoughts flow without restriction, and only through the act of drawing, guided by our hands, can these ideas be shaped and brought into the conscious realm.

We could say that an aerial is when a surfer rises above the waves, taking advantage of inertia, and for a few moments 'flies' over the sea, glued to his board. For me, this moment is truly extraordinary and I wanted to capture it in this evocative image, where different geometric planes form a physical frame of triangular shapes representing different states of the sky. Two curved lines converge to create the shape of the table, and in particular the coral line, which has more weight, represents the upward direction of movement. The central element, a deconstruction of pieces that refer to the body, and in the upper part of it 3 faces, 3 expressions that want to represent the different emotions that the protagonist feels at this moment.
In the lower right-hand corner of the canvas, some folded planes evoke the sea, which places the main subject of the composition, flying over it, at the same height as the birds on either side.

The composition reflects the location faithfully, incorporating numerous elements. It offers a view from the sea to the beach, as seen from the perspective of a swimmer or surfer.
The left side of the canvas depicts the southern part of the beach, featuring the renowned icebergs that define the landscape. On the right, we observe the rock formations that resemble stacked books, representing the northern limit of the area. Each morning, tourists and locals gather at this vantage point to witness the breathtaking sunrises.
The upper part of the canvas represents the horizon, the sky, and the urban landscape beyond.
The composition is centred on an amalgam of turquoise planes, moving from bottom to top, which represent the constant movement of the waves and tides. Different shapes and curves appear here, evoking human silhouettes, representing bodies in the sun. Bodies that, being partially or totally submerged by the plane of the water, are only glimpsed as loose limbs.
My objective was to capture the connection between flora, fauna and humanity, as well as the vividness of the water.

The background is a wave breaking from the left to the right side of the canvas, known as the 'left' wave, which gives the work its title. In this piece I wanted to give a little wink to the childish part of all of us, using the medium of the sea and surfing as a discourse where 'Goofy' has its own meaning.

This square abstract painting features a dramatic black and white composition.
