"Ribbons" illustrates the mesmerising beauty of the Glacial Rivers in west coast Iceland. The varying hues of the glaciers, the meandering waterways through the Delta, and the rich volcanic soil all create a tapestry of natural wonder. The title "Ribbons" pays homage to the graceful flow of water, dancing like ribbons through the landscape.

"Interval" captures the fleeting moment when nature's performance pauses for a breath-taking half-time show. From high above the Joseph Bonaparte Gulf (NT), the outgoing tide creates a symphony of symmetry between the sand-waves and the ocean, inviting the viewer to marvel at the natural beauty that surrounds us. As an artist, I aim to immortalise these moments in time and inspire a deeper appreciation for the wonders of the world.

The owl in this drawing isn’t just observing—it’s mid-flight, eyes locked onto its purpose. Every feather was drawn with precision and care, reflecting the complexity of thought and the sharpness of instinct. To me, it's a visual reminder that strength doesn’t always need to be loud. Sometimes, it's about grace in movement, clarity of intent, and the courage to act in silence.

I created this piece with a blend of realism and stylized texture, hoping to bring out the raw emotion and intensity of that moment—right before impact, right before everything changes.

Signed in 2023, it's a personal favorite, and one that reminds me why I started drawing in the first place.

I was drawn to Zebra Pleco not only because of its hypnotic black-and-white stripes, but also because it represents something fragile and rare. These fish are under threat due to damming, habitat destruction, and illegal trade—yet they remain a symbol of resilience in the fast-disappearing wilds of South America.

Creating this piece involved hours of anatomical research, observation, and careful linework. Every fin, scale, and shadow was placed with intention—to respect its scientific accuracy, but also to capture the wonder this fish inspired in me. This is science and soul, illustrated.

The ORA 2.0 is an evolution of the original artwork ORA commissioned by the National Gallery of Victoria (NGV) and prominently displayed at the 2020 Triennial. This iteration builds upon the conceptual foundation of its predecessor, which featured a striking 1.2-meter diameter illuminated wall eclipse. Drawing inspiration from the principles of Optical Art and the intricate ways humans perceive colour, the ORA 2.0 introduces a captivating dual illumination effect that sets it apart.

The artwork embodies a sophisticated interplay of coloured illumination, where the dual inner and outer glow work in harmony to create a mesmerising visual experience. The inner glow provides a concentrated, radiant core that draws the viewer's gaze, while the outer glow creates a subtle halo effect, enhancing the illusion of depth and movement. This duality is designed to engage viewers on both a sensory and emotional level, encouraging them to explore the nuances of colour and light as they interact with the space.

The ORA 2.0 is not merely an extension of the original piece but a reimagined creation that explores the boundaries of light as an artistic medium. It challenges the observer's perception by altering their sense of reality, making it an immersive experience. The subtle shifts in colour and light intensity evoke a sense of calmness and introspection, drawing viewers into a meditative state as they contemplate the relationship between light, colour, and space.
