Pantone: Ultimate Grey and Illuminating Yellow. After the year we’ve all had, colour kings Pantone have treated us to two colours for 2021: Ultimate Grey, the kind of stable concrete foundations and serene pebbled beaches, and Illuminating, a bright yellow akin to warm sunshine, cheery spirits and the refreshing bite of tart lemon. Together, they make “a marriage of colour conveying a message of strength and hopefulness that is both enduring and uplifting.”
Wattyl & Dulux colour trends. After the wild ride of 2020, Dulux and Wattyl are tipping calming hues to help us heal in 2021. Think muted earth tones, pastels and more - see them all in our full curation of 2021's Calming Colours .
Bringing the outdoors In. A continuing theme over recent years is the desire to maximise our communication with nature. House plants, landscape art and overflowing gardens are all a testament to getting back in touch with our natural roots.
Grandmillennial decor. The close cousin of Cottagecore, Grandmilleninal style is bringing Nanna's house back! Go all out with ruffles, antiques and endless cups of tea for a cosy atmosphere that's almost as good as a hug from the woman herself.
