A abstract painting driven by my love of travel, for of and new experiences and learning about different cultures. A dynamic exploration of cultural encounters through the lens of food, this uses abstract shapes and dripping forms to evoke the fluidity and unexpected experiences found in culinary experiences abroad. Condiments which are oh so familiar can evoke a sense of home when one is feeling homesick or transport one to a different place evoking a food memory. The pastel hues convey nostalgia whilst the drips are a nod to the sometimes messy yet delightful space that is a culinary adventure.
