Artwork Description

Acrylic on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.

Signed on the front.

Inspired by the three graces of greek mythology I explored the idea of three beings that give gifts to humanity. In this case it is the earth, sun and water all required for human being to live and flourish on our planet. It is a reminder that all these are gifts and a perfect balance is needed to sustain life.
I have taken references from art and different cultures in creating the three figures, western dress of a victorian era, Japanese woodblock prints ala hokusai's great wave, anindian saree and ancient statutes.
My signature is on the front edge and all edges are finished.
