When I first visited Donovans in the early 1990s, I though I had found the perfect 'haven' for living. On the S.A./Victorian border, by Nelson. Donovans is tucked off the main road, and based on the Glenelg River, with access to the ocean. A truly lovely part of Australia. A sleepy town, but with many fishing on its wharfside jetty on a lazy Sunday afternoon .
This, and other fishing boats were there, too, and was glad I snapped some reference photos, as this now seems to be a 'dying' part of Australia. I do guess it was nearly 30 years ago, but such scenes give me a sense of peace, but at the same time, happiness, as I'm sure who ever went out on this old fishing boat would have had a wonderful time. I'm so glad to capture this scene of past times, at Donovans as recent photos from there don't seem to reflect the same atmosphere.
Unframed. Ready-to-hang - wire on back. Deep sides painted with scene continued for depth, though can be framed if desired. 12x8" International sales accepted.
