Acrylic on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.
Signed on the front.
Having fun combining many things in art that I love so very much. My collection of vintage papers (handwritten ledger paper - 1890s), adhered to a canvas as a paint surface for my acrylic paints - then painting this gorgeous full rose blossom, in fabulous pink.I'm choose to paint what I love, and rendering them in paint. The paint is both, opaque, and transparent, so that the edges and handwriting underneath appears and disappears -like melding into one. I'm planning on doing more of these. So would make for a wonderful collection to display together. There is ALWAYS a space for small format art! Add interest to your walls. This one is a conversation starter. The whole artwork is intended to have slight flaws - less than perfect, but it is not flawed. It has been sprayed with a protective coating, which keeps the paper natural-looking, but the acrylics have a semi-gloss, almost giving a 3D effect. Ready-to-hang (wire). 7.25" square, 1.5" depth.
