Even though these 'last roses of summer' are far past their prime, they still command a stunning place in any garden.
I tried not to like roses as they are so abundant, but found that I could not fault them, and love them. They are true gems in any garden, and must admit I do love to paint them - usually in their natural garden setting.
Not quite realism, but more a style to lessen the imperfections.
Unframed, on canvas - stretched, with wire, ready-to-hang. Painting continued on sides.
Can be framed, if desired.
