This painting is based on some photos I took from Scammell's Lookout on the way back to Victoria after participating in the Snowy Ride with friends from the Alpine Riders motorcycle club. It had been a rather arduous ride down the mountain in the cold and wet so it was a relief to break out of the cloud and look back at where we had come from. The view is across the Geehi valley towards the Main Range which runs through Kosciuszko National Park.
