This winter scene is on Mount Buffalo in Victoria, not far from the historic Chalet and The Gorge. When I arrived at the location a blizzard was blowing and visibility was near zero so I set up my camera to point in the direction that would offer the most impressive view if the cloud lifted. It did so very briefly and I was able to capture a few shots which formed the basis of this painting.
