I find ravens beautiful, I also find how most birds people call crows where I live are actually ravens a fascinating fact. I wanted to reflect in my painting how these birds are not as black as they seem at first, after you look at them for a while you can see the subtle blues and purples in their feathers and the bird that at first seemed boring and cold does have some colour.
Watercolour paint and coloured pencil on 300gsm watercolour paper. Paper approx A4 in size (painted area 28cm x 20cm) in an 8" x 10" mount frame with a lovely walnut timber finish. Over all frame size 42cm x 34.4cm, can be hung or has a stand.
