Luke Cirsky pays tribute to beautiful Africa in this piece - a vast continent of brutal climate extremes, war and endless humanitarian crises, yet one so often exploited for its natural resources. "Migration of the Commodities" asks viewers to join a ‘dreamscape safari’ of a different kind - one which exposes corporate greed, seeing it filter down to become acts of poaching by desperate souls. Of course, poachers, need to make a living, but Cirsky questions the African Government's overall workings - it's corruption, treatment of its citizens, environmental stance and more deeply - even human rights. Ever pertinently: what can we do to help Africa and its stunning wildlife - partly personified in the painting?
