Meet "Black Cockatoo on Azure Blue" is another bird painting of an Australian native bird, using my new medium of pastels, using pan and soft pastels. These native birds are really stunning to look at and see in the wild, and even though I have been out and about in the great outdoors, I've never actually come across them.
In this instance, I fell in love with the image kindly supplied by photographer Nadine Dudek.
I enjoy the wonderful fresh looking range of these heavily pigmented pastels.
