Artwork Description

Oil on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.

Signed on the front.

Taking some time out to enjoy the great outdoors, we headed west on a beautiful sunny winters morning, ending up in the beautiful Megalong Valley, just off the highway at Blackheath. Enjoyed going for a couple of walks and it was as we were heading back towards Blackheath, where I noticed this sun drenched field of golden yellows, scattered shrubs and gum trees and as a backdrop, the rugged cliffs surrounding the valley, seemingly still shrouded in some mist.

Govetts Leap, Blue Mountains is a painting depicting the vast views of the Grose Valley with its rocky cliffs covered with lush vegetation under a blue sky with fluffy white clouds. The rugged cliffs in the foreground are covered in greenery while the middle ground consists of rolling hills. More rocky formations are seen in the distance creating a dramatic skyline with clear blue skies and scattered clouds adding depth to this painting.a Blue Mountains landscape of a different kind and angle, we're standing at the bottom of the stairs at the Katoomba Falls looking up and watching the water gently cascade down the cliff face ending in what looks like pools of liquid gold, being the reflections of the wintry midday sunlight from above.Blue Mountains -Three Sisters is a painting in Artist Acrylics depicting this vibrant and detailed landscape scene of rocky formations and valleys amidst lush greenery. It has a serene and picturesque mood, capturing the essence of an untouched natural environment. Always a different mood depending when one visits this lookout at Echo Point in Katoomba.with a backdrop of the beautiful Blue Mountains National Park and a lovely garden with lots of shrubs and gum trees and a shed, has two Australian Magpies sitting on a fence with another one just about to land with two of them singing their song
