This work is concerned with the plight of endangered insects that exist in unique environments. The endangered Bathurst Copper Purple butterfly habitat is restricted to sites above 900 meters between the Blue Mountains and Bathurst, NSW. The work changes in appearance as ambient light varies throughout the day, likewise your relationship with the work evolves as you spend time with it. Dimensions are for both works combined with no space between the frames. Artist made frames are crafted from sustainable Tasmanian oak.
