I love the Gold Coast and this piece was inspired by one of my many trips there. The bright lights, the feeling of excitement, the exhilaration of a fun night ahead. It is all embodied in this work.
I used acrylics straight from the tube to give the painting a vibrant colour. The texture was done by adding a bit of impasto medium to the acrylics and using the palette knife.
