Artwork Description

Acrylic on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.

Signed on the front.

During a visit to Darwins Territory Wildlife Park I encountered several native birds that were so beautiful I felt compelled to paint them. We had fed these two which allowed me to get a great understanding of the tremendous variation of colours to be found in a Whistling Ducks feathers. The contrast of the ducks form to the reflective light coming off the wet boards they were standing on created an interesting series of shapes with several lost and found edges. This painting looks even better in person.
