Ever since childhood my art has caught eyes. But only began entering art shows much later. I'd only done a very a handful of works in the late 1990s I entered an artwork (my 2nd or 3rd - in pastel) in the Adelaide Royal Show, gaining a 'honourable mention' with kind comments on expertise, from the judge.
But even more surprised a few years later (2001) when one of my first watercolours ("Behind the Scenes - Marrabel Rodeo") won 3rd prize out of some 850 entries at a major show.
Some were winners of the 'people's choice' award(s), which I highly value, due to the voting system used for this particular award.
A lot of my art was also part of a jury process in entering shows and competitions, and, when living in the USA (2003-2015), I was fortunate enough to never miss out on being admitted into a show or exhibition with my works.
So I thought that I would showcase some of them that I have on Bluethumb. (AND ... hope I can add more in future, though I haven't been entering shows during the past few years because of Covid. I also wonder if some that sold quickly on Bluethumb might have won awards if I'd had a chance to enter them. I guess it will be interesting to see if I can add more to this collection. I don't have photos of others that have won, so they aren't on my account on Bluethumb.
Thank you for your interest in my art work(s). It's much appreciated.
