Artwork Description

Spray Paint on canvas

Signed on the back.

“New World Explorer” is an image of a deep space tracking antennae based on the Parkes Telescope in New South Wales, Australia that was involved in the moon landing in 1969. These telescopes are located in remote areas away from the cities. They are probing the outer reaches of the universe for signs of extraterrestrial life and follow spacecraft as they go about their lonely journey recording new worlds. It is a hopeful image depicting searching for new horizons and worlds in the beautiful Australian bush (currently unstretched but can be stretched if required).
