Artwork Description

Acrylic on paper

My most recent addition to my floral gallery. Love seeing these beautiful blooms of the flowering gum trees. The red blooms with their slender leaves in all shades of green against a backdrop of indistinguishable shapes and the outlines of white cars, inspired me to create this piece.

set against an abstract background are the slender leaves of the Australian eucalyptus tree silver princess with a number of gum nuts showing off their beautiful pink blossoms.under a blue sky with increasing pastel coloured cloud cover is the winding Tumut River with a number of deciduous trees glowing with fall colours in sunshine growing along it's banks and their reflections in the slow moving water.a Blue Mountains landscape of a different kind and angle, we're standing at the bottom of the stairs at the Katoomba Falls looking up and watching the water gently cascade down the cliff face ending in what looks like pools of liquid gold, being the reflections of the wintry midday sunlight from above.under blue and grey skies, along the banks of the Tumut River is a wealth of fall hues shining brightly in autumn sunshine, with a lovely quiet spot to get away from is all and just daydream.

when visiting the amazing Blue Mountains National Park in late Spring and taking a walk / hike through the Australian bush one quite often comes across the Waratah shrub in full bloom, quite a standout with it's deep magenta / red blooms and teal blue / green leaves against a contrasting backdrop of varying tones of greens and browns a sunny spring morning in South Albury along the bank of the Murray River under the cover of three eucalyptus gum trees giving lots of shade in stark contrast to the sunlit areas on the other side and their soft reflections in the slow moving waters.a cluster of flowering pink gumnuts amidst an array of green leaves beautifully presented in a simple black frame with white double matset within the Greater Blue Mountains National Park, surrounded by typical aussie bushland with native gum trees and shrubs is this majestic looking architectural wonder the iconic Jenolan Caves House with it's many faceted edwardian architeture, chimneys and red roofs
